Yeti surveyed over 100 product developers, consisting of both VR-centric companies as well as those from other industries that are venturing into VR.
When asked about their primary roadblocks to developing VR technologies, product developers most commonly cited lack of budget & capable development resourcess, development bandwidth, and difficulty determining strategic direction for VR projects. Among the least commonly cited were technological limitations and the difficulty of selling the concept of VR internallly..
Likelihood of outsourcing VR product development
Over half of respondents indicated there was a likelihood that they would hire an external firm to handle some or all their VR product design & development. Just under half of respondents indicated that this was not likely.
